How Halloween costume trends have evolved

Every year hundreds of people dress up and roam in the streets at night to scare, befriend and mostly drink with others. This year it seems like people are tired of being in that usual vampire, fairy or werewolf costumes. Halloween 2019 was celebrated a bit differently around the world, seeing people dressed up as their favourite villain characters from Netflix, Disney and Marvel. While we’re still reeling over from the scares and screams, tricks and treats. It’s just November and it is never too late to talk about Halloween costumes that are giving us something to gush over. Here’s a list of trending Halloween costumes for this year’s forecast.

This year Halloween costume ideas are unsurprisingly inspired by the characters from ‘It Chapter Two’ a supernatural horror film and ‘Stranger Things’ a tv series rating high in Netflix. Most of the people are inspired by what they’ve seen in movies and television series, imitating their favourite villain characters from the 1980s, clowns, and superheroes are all in the top 25. Couple costumes also grab our attention this year with a blend of pop culture icon and more Halloween centric costumes. Lilo and Stitch, Bonnie and Clyde then The Fairly Oddparents’ Cosmo and Wanda, Adam and Eve, “angel and devil” all hit the top list for the best couple Halloween costumes for 2019.

Toy Story 4 certainly gained huge impression for Halloween costume inspiration for 2019. Woody and Jessie took the spotlight on the couples’ list as well, and Forky and Bo Peep both been on the Halloween costume ideas for this year as well and not to mention Pennywise is the most popular Halloween costume for babies and dogs this year all around the world.
