The inspiration behind the best-selling novel “The Shining” boasts its spooky charms proudly to anyone who loves a sinister venture.

The story of the Stanley Hotel begins as Freelan Oscar Stanley falls in love with Estes Park! Bearing Tuberculosis’s disease, hiking up the Rocky Mountains atmosphere and the sunlight somehow cure him completely. This resulted in the making of this grandeur.

Since Mr and Mrs Stanley loved the hotel, to this day they haven’t left it!

Make your way to the Vortex, as many people have spotted them standing there.

Being haunted didn’t always go well for the hotel before the visit.

It’s stood grandly in an isolated setting, singing out its saddest songs with gruesome memories from the past.

Being visited by Stephen King, The Stanley Hotel had all the reasons to give him the nightmares that later led to the novel.

Maybe the hotel has a catch on your fear! You never know.

It later led to its popularity in spooks-Ville!

Investigators from Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures and SyFy’s Ghost Hunters were impressed. We’re taking you on through a maze of ghosts that hates vacuum cleaners in the Stanley Hotel.

Not just that, it’s like living out your scary movie with everything from shadowy figures, eerie laughter, flickering lights to items moving on their own.

If that doesn’t raise an eyebrow, you do love a little scare.

Not very minacious, but it remains one of the most haunted hotels to go to if you are into the dark.

We all know a tragic love story; well, this one makes you shed a tear.

In the history of one of the most haunted hotels, the Toftaholm HerrgΓ₯rd starts its story of a peasant named Mats who fell hopelessly in love with the Baron’s daughter, who in turn returned his affections.

However, their love story took a tragic turn when the Baron arranged for her to be married to a nobleman as opposed to Mats, who was deemed unworthy of his daughter. Devastated by the loss of his beloved, he tragically hanged himself in Room 324, which remains haunted to this day.

Guests staying in Room 324 has reportedly activities such as strange noises and windows shutting on their own, creating a gruesome atmosphere for anyone who stays here.

Love is not always a bed of roses to sleep in.

This Luxurious Canadian castle of Rockies has been welcoming guests for over 125 years, and some of them decided to stay forever.

This might be something relating to the famous movie ”The Corpse bride”, but the legend has a story of a bride who, on the way to get married, caught her gown on fire on a staircase filled with candles and fell to her death, breaking her neck.

If this situation couldn’t get any worse, guests now find her spirit dancing in the hallway with her gown lit up, or as some say, she sits by the staircase crying her sorrow out. Maybe the sadness never really went away with the life?

With its breathtaking mountain scenery and natural hot springs, this castle has more horrifying stories you would be interested in witnessing!

And all of this comes down to making the Fairmont Banff Springs one of the most haunted hotels.

Care to drop a visit and hear her vows, maybe?

The flowers with thorns don’t stand back in being admirable; just like that, the Queen Anne Hotel is haunted but in a praiseworthy way.

Being one of the haunted hotels that don’t give you eerie experiences, it was once an exclusive boarding school for girls.

Miss Mary Lake, the headmistress of the school, is alleged to have had an affair with James “Slippery Jim” Fair, the senator who built the beautiful Victorian mansion.

Mary Lake denied the rumours, but the denial didn’t do her much good.

The affair was exposed in a local newspaper article titled “Cupid and Mr Fair,” and the rumours continued to spread until Mary’s death.

As the ghost of the kind-hearted headmistress, Miss Mary Lake decided to stay. She takes care of travellers by helping them with their blankets at night and unpacking their suitcases.

All in the way of doing good deeds and talk about a 5-star service!

If you do visit and see your bags unpacked for you, say hi to Mary.
