All of us love eating but how many of us are willing to explore the more adventurous side of food? Every culture around the world has its own unique dish and sometimes, it can be rather unexpected. 1. Escargot in France

For those who don’t know, escargot is the French word for snail and this delicacy can be found in many European countries. Escargot is prepared with garlic and parsley butter and it’s served right in its shell and in countries like Greece and Italy, it’s also sometimes poured over pasta.

2. Haggis in Scotland

Haggis is the traditional Scottish food which is a savoury pudding. Sounds good enough but Haggis is an entirely unique version of a savoury pudding. It’s prepared using sheep lungs, heart and liver which is then mixed with oatmeal, suet and seasoning before it’s stuffed into the sheep’s stomach, stitched back and boiled for three hours.

3. Pufferfish in Japan

Pufferfish are poisonous and therefore, it has to be prepared in a special way. If you would like to sample this dish, be sure to eat it at a restaurant that is licensed to prepare it. Also known as Fugu, Pufferfish can be prepared in many ways and is deemed to be the most delicious sushi in the world.

4. Frog Legs in France

Considered to be a delicacy in France, Frog Legs are served with dipping sauces and leafy greens. Once you overcome the image of the frog’s slimy skin, you might just discover that it tastes a lot like chicken.

If eating fresh food is your liking, it doesn’t get fresher than this. Life octopus is a local delicacy in South Korea that consists of many baby octopuses which are cut up and served while you see it still squirming.
